Strength with Christ

My grandson Frederick, who is 9, was sharing with me that sometimes he feels fearful. He went on to share that his Dad has shared with him how reading scripture, The Word of God, can give you strength and courage. Memorizing scriptures so that you can remind yourself of who God is when the times of fear arise in your life can help you. One of his favourites was Philippians 4:13.

“I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.”

I agreed with Freddie that what his Dad was suggesting was a great idea and to continue to find and learn scriptures that will help him in his life. God has infinite resources available to us and we can live happy and at peace in the knowledge of this.

Jesus, fully human and fully divine, was working on the earth out of the abundance of God the Father’s riches. Jesus showed us how to live by bringing God’s Kingdom to the Earth and there is no lack in God’s dwelling place.

This is available to us also through prayer and through asking as stated by Paul in Ephesians:

I pray that, according to the riches of his glory, he may grant that you may be strengthened in your inner being with power through his Spirit, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, as you are being rooted and grounded in love.

Ephesians 3:16-17

Freddie inspired me by his words.

Freddie’s Dad inspired me by his actions and guidance to his son.

Oh, may we all be rooted and grounded in love!

May we be zapped by His unlimited resources receiving empowerment from the inside out.

Where can you or have you inspired someone to live a life with strength from Christ?

May these jottings from my journal inspire you to believe in and fall in love with Christ- the hope of the world, as stated in Jeremiah 17:7, ‘Blessed is the man who believes and trusts in and relies on the Lord and whose hope and confident expectation is the Lord!’
