You Are Not Forgotten
Ever forgotten something or someone. I have. Just the other day I forgot to go to an appointment. I had to reschedule. I forget to buy grocery items when I shop, and sometimes they are the important item why I went there! Like toilet paper or laundry powder!
So back in the car I go to get them.
The saying, “ I’d lose my head if it was not screwed on” is sometimes true.
Am I just forgetful or do I have too much on my plate? Only I can answer that.
I usually write a list of things to get, and at which shop.
I know of someone who forgot to pick up their kids from school, and then the principal called them.
Life sometimes gets too busy. That’s why grocery deliveries are great!
Our God never forgets us.
…yet I will not forget you.
Isaiah 49:15b-16
See, I have inscribed you on the palms of my hands;
The only thing that is forgotten, when we ask for forgiveness, are our sins .
I am He who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins.
Isaiah 43:25
Oh wow!
What a God!
So merciful and kind.
Let us remember He who loves us unconditionally. Let us especially focus on what God has done for us this Lenten season.
Let us not forget Him in this fast pace of life.
Give Him some time, meditate upon his words, upon what Jesus did for us.
May these jottings from my journal inspire you to believe in and fall in love with Christ- the hope of the world, as stated in Jeremiah 17:7, ‘Blessed is the man who believes and trusts in and relies on the Lord and whose hope and confident expectation is the Lord!’

It’s interesting to read that God forgets our sins, because a priest shared with me one time that it’s also a gift given to priests in the confessional.
Also interestingly, when I try to recall what I asked forgiveness for last time juring the sacrament of reconciliation, I have also forgotten and am glad it has been erased from my memory.
My focus this Lent will be consistent prayer for others and myself and also a serious consideration to increase my charitable givings and surrender joyfully without concern for material things.

I did to my eternal shame, I forgot to pick my beautiful little girl from pre school. She was number three and I had another little one. Visitors arrived and I completely forgot to pick her up. The pre school teacher brought her home
