Christmas is Nearly Here!

Christmas is nearly here. The Carols are playing in most of the shopping centres and the Christmas concerts are happening at Church, in the park and in halls alike.

The atmosphere is intensifying and hopefully we “Make a joyful noise unto Him.” For that is what it is all about – For the joy of the season of the Savior’s birth.

I love it in Isaiah where it states:

For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 9:6 NKJV

This was written hundreds of years before Jesus’ birth but rings true today too.

Firstly, the beautiful attributes of God in His Son that are described here. Not only those (for He has many more) but this is what we should concentrate on at this time of the year.

What strikes me the most is this personal God is telling us through this prophet that it’s all about us.

For US this Savior was sent. For US this child was born.

God’s focus for sending His Son in the first place was US.

Does that make you feel important? It should.

This should bring you great Joy in your Heart. Through this little babe we have been given a chance to live eternally once again with God.

Thank you, Lord, for doing this, coming for Me.

Glory to God in the Highest should be the words we join in with, with the Angels and Saints and Heavenly Chorus’ as they all exalt the Lord during this festive season.

If you have not gone to, or cannot get to hearing live Carols, put on the CDs, play Spotify or another music app, put on the television concerts and sing along with “Joy to the Lord” for what He has done this Christmas Season.

Emma, Brigette, myself and all of us at HEART Ministry for Women wish you and yours a Blessed and Merry Christmas! May the Prince of Peace, God’s only Son, bring you that gift (His Peace) this season.

MERRY CHRISTMAS with all Our Love !

May these jottings from my journal inspire you to believe in and fall in love with Christ- the hope of the world, as stated in Jeremiah 17:7, ‘Blessed is the man who believes and trusts in and relies on the Lord and whose hope and confident expectation is the Lord!’

Love

Every week groups of ladies meet together to chat about the things I raise in my weekly blog post and to chat about life in general. We call these ‘Heart Connect’ groups.
