Working Hard
Spending a whole day in the garden is so worthwhile. It will be more enjoyable once we see the fruit of our labour, for we are starting from scratch.
We added compost to the sandy soil so as to give the plants as many nutrients to start off with.
Later that evening my body was really feeling all the bending down and carrying the plants to their particular position.
I needed a good hot shower and some muscle rub to relieve those muscles.
In the book of Psalms it states that the favor of the Lord be upon us and establish / prosper the work of our hands.
Let the favour of the Lord our God be upon us,
Psalm 90:17 NRSV
and prosper for us the work of our hands—
O prosper the work of our hands!
May our hard work in the garden pay off but closest to my heart is not plants but people.
That the hard work of prospering / helping people to do well will occur. That many will come to know the Lord, fall in love with Him more and find their purpose for their life. That truly will be a work of our hands by God’s Grace.
It is all from God’s favor so my prayer is that the favor of our Lord be upon us.

May these jottings from my journal inspire you to believe in and fall in love with Christ- the hope of the world, as stated in Jeremiah 17:7, ‘Blessed is the man who believes and trusts in and relies on the Lord and whose hope and confident expectation is the Lord!’

I just lost my husband a couple of months we came to a new city not so close to my adult children, and now I feel so lost all by myself, I ask god why did you leave me all alone we had just been here 2 months he got seriously ill 2 months in hospital then hospice at home . Please pray for me to understand what is happening in my life.

Yes. I try to remind myself that it is the Holy Spirit that gives me the energy to tackle all things. I have learnt this through Bruce and you. Less of me, more of God.
Where do I start. In just about every area of my life. God grant me the ability to watch the news and feel pity, not aggravation and angst towards them. We have a premier in Qld who promised at the last election, that he wouldn’t put an Olympic stadium in Victoria Park. This park is in the centre of the City and is a sacred site to the aboriginals. Well he has broken that promise and every time I see him on the news, it is like a red rag to a bull. I have to change my mind set towards him and just feel sorry for his lack of honour. And remind myself, that I have probably broken trust and faith with others in my life’s journey
