A friend of mine with her granddaughter met up with me and two of my granddaughters, to go to the movies together. One of my daughters with her daughter came along as well. I have had some time off from some of my responsibilities lately. Some of the meetings, women’s groups that I am in, I had stepped away from for a break. Some time out to get physically, mentally, and spiritually refreshed. We do need to be kind to ourselves at times and take that time out. I was “doing” so much and felt tired by everything. Every day we are enticed by mail, brochures, social media ads, ads on tv to buy the latest …., keep up with what most people are doing…., to have more…., to think of you…. make yourself happy…  get that younger you…. After a very restless night I woke to the alarm, remembering that I was babysitting all day. For most of the day it was a four-year-old then pick up three more children from school till either mum or dad arrived around 5pm. The little one first had breakfast (maybe a second one) and then helped me put on a few loads of washing.
