• God Alone Sustains Us

I can tell I have changed. Changed for the better. Just simple everyday chores or how I react to circumstances in my life on a daily basis. Bruce and I have just arrived home after a hectic 3 weeks away “doing Ministry”. The last few days travelling were long hours, lots of delays in departure times of aeroplanes, extended flying times due to weather, winds and turbulence. YUK! It was only in the final hour or so after 19 hours of flying from one side of America to the other where I felt I had hit my wall.  And that was just on one of the days. We still had…

  • Relying on God

Travelling, not being at home where you know where everything is, not knowing the area you are staying in, not knowing the people, makes me feel more reliant on God. Now I’m talking about me. Maybe that’s you every day because of your circumstances, your situation. You rely on God for everything. I’m only truly starting to think and act like this. Reflecting upon my life, I thought that I was surrendered to God. I thought that He was my number One in my Life. But I was still so focused on me. On my gifts and abilities. On my ability to get me out of tough situations. On my…

  • God is So Good!

Oh, what a blessed couple of days. God is so Good! I am talking about the Chicago Mission Event that has just finished. Many attended in the room and online. I have met so many beautiful people. People, who like me, are on a journey in seeking and knowing God. The scripture that comes to mind is found in Psalm 139 verse 14. In the plural form…… “We praise you because we are fearfully and wonderfully made, your works are wonderful. We know that full well. “ Psalm 139:14 And in Psalm 133:1 “How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity.” Psalm 133:1 The personal stories…

  • The Lord Protects

I was driving to a meeting but popped into the shops to buy milk for tea and coffee. As I was leaving the car park a dad who was walking with his young daughter called out to her. I had already slowed down in my car because the girl was close to the edge of the road and was not looking. All of a sudden, the father’s arm had grabbed his daughter by the forearm and yanked her to the safety of his arms. I smiled and carefully continued to navigate the car park. The action of the Father made me think about Our Heavenly Father’s actions. How He steps…

  • All Things Work for Good

Willow, my six-year-old granddaughter, came to her Mum the other day and stated, “I don’t need to do swimming anymore.” Willow and her older sister who is nearly ten had been doing swimming lessons for over a year because their mother and father thought it was a good skill to learn. Her Mum, surprised, said, “And why is that?” “I don’t want to be a lifesaver, so I don’t need to have any more swimming lessons.” Willow replied. “Don’t you like swimming  anymore?” her Mum enquired. “I do enjoy it but I am not going to swim in deep water or rescue people because there is sharks in the water.”…
