Booming head, feeling decidedly unwell but most of us women “soldier on” as they call it.

Sometimes though it’s nice to be able to hang out the white flag of surrender and pop yourself into bed.

Today is one of those days. Well tonight anyway. Those nice clean sheets and soft pillow are beckoning.

I admire so many who push through the pain and discomfort to help and assist their family and friends. I’ve often thought when those who have chronic pain and sickness continue to try and live a normal life, they are living heroes. A special Grace is given to those people. The families also are truly graced by God to take a journey that is not often chosen or deserved.

So, my throbbing head is nothing compared to so many – so many sick with covid, sick with starvation and malnutrition. Sick from all types of cancers. Sick from physical, and mental abuse…the list could go on.

Oh the Grace of our God can sustain us.

In the book of Revelations 21:4 it describes one day in God’s Kingdom “there will be no more tears, no more pain.”

He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.

Revelations 21:4

Oh I’m looking forward to that!

Lord grace me to cope and settle this headache.

May you send comfort to all in pain and those under stress.

May these jottings from my journal inspire you to believe in and fall in love with Christ- the hope of the world, as stated in Jeremiah 17:7, ‘Blessed is the man who believes and trusts in and relies on the Lord and whose hope and confident expectation is the Lord!’

Love

Beautifully written so inspiring to think of ours in more need than ourselves even in time of pain and tiredness. May Gods give you strength to keep up your good words and works of faith and love. Thanks for sharing.

Dear Rosemary, I do hope you will feel better soon, I know many times I was so tired and no well my self, but I was too busy helping others who were wose then I. After all the 56 years, went shopping, stop and visit our son and his 3 children, I had hurt my leg the night before, It was just a muscle behind my knee, but I put all that behind me and took my cane and followed my husband, our weather was extremely hot, first time our grandchildren ask me why I was looking so ill, my husband reply ah grandma is just tired, on that note we left, I couldn’t wait to get home, Barry said we need to stop at the grocery store, he knew I couldn’t hardly walk so he gives me the list,I had to go get a few things, well we got home, I went right to bed, he was shocked ,we have things to be away, I said you can do that dear,,I couldn’t walk on my legs anymore, then he comes in the bedroom, said you never did that before, he said you also have a fever so, he did give me a fever pill, but he was in shocked, it’s hard to believe you went right to bed, and it’s supper time, I said do what you can do and I might just stay in bed tomorrow and then before I felt asleep, just before I heard him say I knew this what’s going to happen, after helping every one now your in bed, and what am I going to do I said pray pray for everyone, never stop asking the Good Lord you now need some help, and He will certainly helped you because He was there for mr

Come and fill her with strength and courage. Her cry comes from a place of helplessness and you oh merciful God hear and acknowledge and even now are working in the situation.

Thank you for sharing with such honesty about how you are feeling and I am truly sorry to see you suffer from such a painful headache!
I on the other hand suffer from pain in the neck and upper left shoulder and can affect the left side of my head too! I can empathise with you Rosemary!!! I found out that I am low on vitamin D by my doctor and he recommended I take a vitamin suppliment. And also referred me to see a physiotherapist for my neck and shoulder. I discovered later that the lack of vitamin D can also have adverse affect on bones besides other problems too! The prayer you written above is timely and I can’t thank you enough! it’s also comforting that I am not suffering all alone either! I will pray for you too Rosemary as well as all who have responded and in need of prayer. May the Lord be close to you and comfort you with His Love Rosemary!
    In Christ’s Love
