You are Wanted!

There is a line in a movie I was watching that has been going round and round in my mind. The actor was talking about what Jesus was thinking when He chose US (everyone – all of mankind) to follow Him. To walk with Him in life, to be His disciples.

“Jesus had everything He needed.”

Jesus was complete in Himself. Unified with the Father and Spirit. He did not need us. We are the ones in NEED.

The crunch line, however, was next……

“But HE WANTED US.”

Oh my! How important does that make us. Doesn’t that make you feel special! We who are so weak, so frail, so “unholy” prone to sin, prone to wrongdoing, making wrong choices and the Son of the Living God, The Father on High still wants us!!!!!!

I might only be speaking about me here but I’m being honest with myself.

I’m not putting myself down but there are many times when I have not spoken well of people – I have gossiped.

I have not acted well towards others – even if out of tiredness, despondency.

I have not been as generous as I should – keeping stuff (and it is only stuff) for me.

Complaining about my life, when actually it is an amazing life, I have.

I could go on………

My heart feels like I need to say sorry Lord. I need to show Him that I am truly sorry by doing works of charity, of love. Not expecting any reward. Actually, giving love in whatever way to those who can never pay it back, by monetary means or by acts of giving back.

By voicing the words of – I’m sorry, my fault – to God. Asking for His pardon.

Standing in for those who need pardoning too. Praying for others.

So many needs in this world.

Praying for Ukraine and Russia. For the atrocities of War.

This Friday 25th March, the Pope has asked us all—— A CALL to PRAY. This day the Feast Day of the ANNUNCIATION of Our Lord, where Mary said YES to God. Where God told us that HE WANTED US! He was sending to the earth His ONE and ONLY SON to SAVE us.

That we would as a Church Consecrate (dedicate) Ukraine and Russia to Our Mother Mary and Her Immaculate Heart. That she would cover the people, the countries with her care and praying for PEACE.

Where Our Lady is, is always GRACE. As announced by the Angel – Full of Grace – and Mary being the Mother of us all has been given by God a special place in each of our hearts. Our Heavenly Mother.

So Let us come and pray, petition, fast, for others, for ourselves, and ask that this war be stopped, and that people will come to know how much God loves them. How much God WANTS them.

ALL of us need to Know this.  WE ARE WANTED BY OUR GOD.

May these jottings from my journal inspire you to believe in and fall in love with Christ- the hope of the world, as stated in Jeremiah 17:7, ‘Blessed is the man who believes and trusts in and relies on the Lord and whose hope and confident expectation is the Lord!’

    We all need to come up higher! Loved sinners that we are!!! To be more grateful and thankful in all things!! Everyday is a clean slate to write on! Holy Spirit thank you for enabling us to do what is right in each and every situation! With you we shall show others the Love that God for each and every one of us! You are a very bright light in a dark time!! Continue to bless the hearts of women to be all God created us to be! What a privilege to be a wife, mother , grandmother! What an icon she is to us the amazing Blessed Mother!!
