Peace That Only God Can Bring

My mind can’t concentrate. I feel very blah, blank even. So even though my thoughts seem to be in a fog, and I can’t see a light in the tunnel (or even where the end of the tunnel is), I know God is with me.

I feel like I am groping in the dark but still have God’s presence with me.

Past experiences, past knowledge and truly knowing God tells me this.

God is still near me. I, for whatever reason, can’t rely on my today feelings. I don’t need to dig deep, to push through, to be positive, to try harder. To do it in my human effort. No.

I feel like the Spirit is saying to me – ‘Lean in, Press in, Fall into the arms and heart of God.’

I know the last few months have been very chaotic. Covid in the family, Ministry deadlines, moving buildings, Appendicitis operation, family members sick ……not all planned….so many disruptions. The only way I can describe it is I seem to be living in a “confused state.”

I can be at rest, at peace and be assured that the Holy Spirit is living inside of me and is able to guide me and keep my mind at ease.  Storms of life can bring fear, cloud judgment and create confusion. Yet God promises that as you seek Him through prayer – for I was still trying to pray daily, even though it was often very dry or very haphazard – I know that God will give me, give you, wisdom to know how to proceed. I know my persevering spirit will grow stronger if I endure this season of my life. I know that my deepening love of God will increase because of what God is doing in me.

I know the ONLY way that I will survive the storm will be on my knees.

I am writing this for anyone who has experienced or will experience into the future feelings or circumstances like this.

LEAN in, be in or move to a sloping position in front of JESUS.

Remember HE carries us on HIS shoulders. We the sheep, HE the saving shepherd.

33 For God is not the author of confusion,

1 Corinthians 14:33 KJV

33 for God is a God not of disorder but of peace.

1 Corinthians 14:33 NRSV

So hopefully as I journey through this season with my Lord and Saviour (how wonderful that we have Our Lord with us always on our journey of LIFE), I continue to know the PEACE that ONLY GOD can bring.

If you don’t already know this, please hear what I am sharing with you. GOD IS WITH US AND GOD HAS GOT THIS (whatever the “this” is in your life).

May these jottings from my journal inspire you to believe in and fall in love with Christ- the hope of the world, as stated in Jeremiah 17:7, ‘Blessed is the man who believes and trusts in and relies on the Lord and whose hope and confident expectation is the Lord!’

Love

Thank you for this today. I have heard from my son and he and his family are very sick. I am feeling helpless because I am 1500 miles away. I have prayed to our Mother Mary in a rosary. I listened to Bruce’s message today and with your message I am feeling a bit more at peace. May your word be heard by others and peace will fall upon them as well.

    Dear Rosemary,
Praying that you soon feel much better. Perhaps GOD is giving you this time, to reflect, to be restful. It is very hard to think straight and clearly, when we are or have been very unwell. Two wise people in my life, have said “ Listen to your body.” The body is wonderfully made, it knows what we need, if only we listen to what it is telling us.
May GOD bless you and keep you.

Thank you for this honesty. It reads like a road map for me. I will reread it when that overwhelming anxiety hits me. You are also in my prayers.

      Hi Rosemary
Thank you for this message and to know that there are others like me , when going through worries in life , recovering from COVID , stress issues re work etc etc that sometimes I feel I don’t put enough effort into my daily prayers and am so often distracted . Thank you for the reassurance that we are his sheep and the shepherd Jesus is always there to guide us and with the Holy Spirit to help us and bring us that peace that only He can . Bless you and the Ministry and hope you feel well soon

Dear Rosemary, when too much is going on in our life, we often feel overwhelmed and we focus on all is going on. Often when I feel too much is happening all around me , I talk to the Holy Spirit, then I fall on my knees to the Father of Jesus, that’s when I realized I don’t have to worry about so many many problems around me, it’s not my ( job)
To try to make things easier and better……its our Lord Almighty Father telling us to have peace and rest, it’s his (job) to remind us He make it all better for us……and that’s when we realize of course Lord, Thank You for reminding me……Amen

    Dear Rosemary.
I feel your pain as I feel things have been so overwhelming of late as well in my life.
So I keep praying. May the Precious Blood of Jesus cover me (and whoever else needs it) from the Crown of my head to the soles of my feet and heal me. Or give me peace or solve this problem etc.
It always helps. Thank you for today’s message.
Be Blessed in the name of Jesus. X

P.S. could you please send me the msg for the 18th that you recorded. I thought I was automatically on your list so I didn’t register for it. Many thanks

Rosemary, these desert times are tough. When we get through them we are so thankful on the other side. We keep praying and keep reaching up for the hand of Jesus to drag us through. I never like my desert times but know that they are necessary because God is working on me for something that needs to be fixed. Keep leaning in and praying and believe that the Holy Spirit will inspire your heart and soul to the other side.

Thanks Rosemary as always spot on! I was walking to work this morning listening to the devotional and then the rosary with you & Bruce. I was feeling a bit dry and I’ve been snappy at home with a lot on lately. As I was walking I looked at the footpath and written right across the foot path was the word Jesus!!
It brought tears to my eyes as I knew he was near… He is as Bruce says “never far away !”
