A Walk of Trust

It’s been a walk in trust these past few weeks. Trusting that my Mum is getting the best medical attention she can. Trusting in the doctors’ advice and treatment options. But ultimately trusting in My God who is in control. Who loves me and loves my mother more than I ever can. Trusting that God is working through the medical expertise of the doctors and nursing staff. Trusting with the outcomes.

It has given me and my family a great peace. Yes, it is still worrying and has brought many a tear to our eyes but knowing that Mum is in the hands of Our Loving God has given us all an inner calm that only He can bring.

The time together as a family, with all my sisters and brother and my Mum and Dad has been very special. It’s not over yet. Tests and more surgery may still need to occur but our family is grateful for the extra time we have with our Mother and unified in our love and trust in Our heavenly Father.

As Psalm 62:8 states

Trust in him at all times, O people;
    pour out your heart before him;
    God is a refuge for us.

Psalm 62:8 NRSV

At times like this, you put aside all the family squabbles and disagreements and focus all your love and attention on the people that are in need.

LOVE conquers all. A line I remember from a childhood movie years ago. This is so true.

None of us know when Our God could call us home. So please make the most of your family now, while you can.

May these jottings from my journal inspire you to believe in and fall in love with Christ- the hope of the world, as stated in Jeremiah 17:7, ‘Blessed is the man who believes and trusts in and relies on the Lord and whose hope and confident expectation is the Lord!’

Love

    There’s so many blessings that I have experienced as fruits of Trusting in our God! I’m forever grateful for His Greatest love surviving ,suicide, domestic violence, family divorce, 5 motor vehicle accidents, 10 surgeries, one Stroke and mild Heart Attack in the last 41 yrs I stepped foot here in Australia from the Philippines! If I didn’t Trust totally and surrender all to our Lord, I could have gone years ago, but I do firmly believe It’s all my Faith in God that saved me up to now because I Trusted God . Amen!

    I am praying that your Mum will recover from this health problem, I’m sure she is in the best of hands as the doctors, nurses & other staff care for her in hospital. We all place our needs before God every day, so you have a guiding hand gently helping your entire family in this time of need. Blessings dear Rosemary. Georgie xxx
