What are Your Plans?

Back sore, muscles talking to me, but it was so worth it.

Bruce, Sandra and I held an afternoon session in Brisbane. Hoping to encourage some of the people who follow the Daily devotionals in The Catholic Guy Ministry or Heart Ministry.

What happened was special.

Firstly, we were encouraged by the people who came. We went away ourselves feeling like we were ministered to!

But the main reason it was good was that the Holy Spirit was present. We are believing for His work in us to continue to transform all our hearts.

I came away reflective. Asking God for greater direction and His hand to be upon me and our Ministries in the years to come.

I have the time. (If God wills it.)

I have the effort (even though my body does not keep up.) I just need greater clarity. I need the strength from the Holy Spirit.

I need to know that I’m going in the right direction. That my steps are purposeful and not wasted.

I guess that is what happens when we age. We want to make sure that the time we have left, that it is of some benefit to someone, and my Lord and saviour is pleased with my efforts.

I heard a song many years ago and the theme and title of the song struck an eternal chord within me.

The song was called, Audience of One.

The lyrics shared how all our life we strive for things, for success but the most important thing was that we did everything for the audience of The One. Our Holy Lord. That all we needed at the end of our life was to hear the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant. Welcome into my Kingdom! I have prepared your own room for you.”

Have you reflected upon your future plans? Do they align up with God’s plans for you? Or have you never thought about it?

May these jottings from my journal inspire you to believe in and fall in love with Christ- the hope of the world, as stated in Jeremiah 17:7, ‘Blessed is the man who believes and trusts in and relies on the Lord and whose hope and confident expectation is the Lord!’

Love

Every week groups of ladies meet together to chat about the things I raise in my weekly blog post and to chat about life in general. We call these ‘Heart Connect’ groups.

Have you ever thought about how your plans align with God’s plans? If so, what have you found?

Have you ever made changes to your plans after discerning what you think God’s plan has been?

What do you think God is saying to you now?

Hello Rosemary and others who are associated with this ministry. I get cranky with God the Father many times, as I feel He has not made it easy for mortals to hear or know his voice. The only time I really believe I heard his voice, strongly, was in 2014. My mother had been down with me on holidays, and was flying back home. As I walked away from her at the airiport, I know I heard or experienced some message. I don’t remember the exact thoughts, but it was something like “You know, this may be the last time you may see your mother alive”. That was on a Wednesday, and I received a call on the following Sunday, telling me that she had passed away.

Thank you for your beautiful thoughts and presentations. I ask that your health improves and I also ask that you pray for my family and me. Thank you so much.

    xx

Oh I forgot to mention in my previous comment, after I heard this message, re my mother, I walked back and gave her a kiss. ( I don’t remember what I said at that time). I am so thankful that for once, I could hear God speaking to me.

“His strength is made perfect in our weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9). I need to learn to say, “God, I don’t understand this discomfort, but I believe You’re using it. I give it to you. Use it for your greater purpose.” Oh to have that mindset constantly! It takes time, prayer, and a lot of grace. Lean into God. Keep offering Him your honest and open heart. That’s where transformation really begins.

Thank you for sharing this message today, Rosemary. It was spot-on for me. I retired recently and have also been praying that God would gjve me new direction and that He would use me and whatever time I have left to extend His kingdom. I am waiting on, and trusting God for new strategy and firection, to reveal the next steps to me.

Thank you for your, Bruce and the team’s faithfulness in serving God and doing what He asks. I have been so blessed by these. I pray that God would continue to use you and also that He would lay His healing hand upon you. God bless.
