The Joy of Easter

Easter Sunday is over, but the Easter Season lasts for 40 days to the Ascension. This year more than ever I feel very celebratory.

I feel a joy from the Resurrection more than usual. An understanding of what our Lord truly has done for us. We have been given back our hope to live forever!

It was lost to us but because of Jesus’ sacrifice for us on the Cross we have received the best gift ever. An eternal life with Him forever, starting now.

I can live with expectation of the best. Loved completely. Never forsaken. Totally forgiven. Mercy from our God every morning. Fully satisfied with the life God has for me.

Truly happy and at peace.

Oh, this is the best life ever. Available to all who call on the Lord God and acknowledge who He is.

So, I’m learning more to share about this greatest gift to others. Boasting about who the Lord is. How wonderful it is to know Him and love Him and to serve Him.

May these jottings from my journal inspire you to believe in and fall in love with Christ- the hope of the world, as stated in Jeremiah 17:7, ‘Blessed is the man who believes and trusts in and relies on the Lord and whose hope and confident expectation is the Lord!’
