God’s Grace for Us
Do we desire things? We all want the best for our lives. For our loved one’s lives.
We as Christians desire God’s grace.
The grace to stay positive when negativity or hardship comes our way.
The grace to have courage when we feel very weak.
The grace to love the unlovable.
The grace to not judge others.
The grace to bring unity to areas where there is disharmony.
Oh, we need His grace in all areas of our lives.
Grace refers to God’s favor. God’s saving power to all who call upon Him.
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God— not the result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life.
Ephesians 2:8-10 NRSV
We need this grace to be the new creatures; to do the good works He has prepared for us.
Our faith is even a free gift from God and not our own doing.
But law came in, with the result that the trespass multiplied; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, so that, just as sin exercised dominion in death, so grace might also exercise dominion through justification leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 5:20-21 NRSV
In Romans Paul states where sin increased grace abounded more! This surpassing excellence of Christ’s saving power given to us.
Jesus has done it all for us so why do we fight Him so? Why do we try and do it all in our own steam?
Sit back, relax, and open our lives to The King of All.
I can’t wait to see what God will do in my life, in your life because we are taking that next step of surrender of our lives to Him.
Be courageous. Ask for His grace to step more into what He has for each of us.
May these jottings from my journal inspire you to believe in and fall in love with Christ- the hope of the world, as stated in Jeremiah 17:7, ‘Blessed is the man who believes and trusts in and relies on the Lord and whose hope and confident expectation is the Lord!’

I think that I ask for his Grace daily, in every area of my life. Particularly for our children.
I ask for it more now as an older person, quite frankly, I haven’t got the energy to do life on my own. I used to think that life was a test and that we had to try very hard to please God. Thanks to Bruce and his daily devotions I now realise that it is by Grace alone that we are saved and I thank God that my life was turned around seven years ago, after wandering in a wilderness for Forty years.
I am open to asking for his Grace in all areas and hope I am surrendering my will to him who gave us life. More of him and less of me
