Prayer before Panic

Sometimes you feel so alone. Even in amongst a crowd, you can often feel isolated.

As if no one knows what you are going through, how you are feeling, how you don’t seem to have any support.

At these times I can tend to isolate myself even more and feel like woah is me.

But I’ve been learning to lean into God more on those days. To get more of the nourishment I need from Him for I have been learning more that:

“He is here, and I am here with him.”

That His presence lives within me and is so close. He knows what is happening.

He cares about me.

He’s actually calling to me – cast all your cares upon me! My yoke is easy my burden is light.

Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you.

1 Peter 5:7 NRSV

As I am maturing more in my relationship with Him, my Saviour, I am turning to Him more.

I don’t let myself fall apart and then through tears call out to Him.

I have a saying that turns into reality. Kingdom reality.

Prayer before panic.

My God’s kingdom outruns, outwits, outdoes any world kingdom – always!

Jesus HAS won freedom for us! Jesus HAS all of the answers for my life.

I’m learning to hide under His wings (because I am often still a frail human that does not have the strength to stand.)

he will cover you with his pinions,
    and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.

Psalm 91:4 NRSV

I stay under His protection even when I finally have His grace and strength to come out from under His wings.

May I encourage all of you who read this to pray before panicking and run to Him for help.

What do you do in your hour, day, week of need?

Please share with us so that we may all be encouraged to follow Him more closely.

May these jottings from my journal inspire you to believe in and fall in love with Christ- the hope of the world, as stated in Jeremiah 17:7, ‘Blessed is the man who believes and trusts in and relies on the Lord and whose hope and confident expectation is the Lord!’

Every week groups of ladies meet together to chat about the things I raise in my weekly blog post and to chat about life in general. We call these ‘Heart Connect’ groups.

Because the Lord listens, really listens, he comforts in a way that no one else can.
Because I am an independent sort of person, it is difficult cast my cares upon God and I often find myself carrying whatever cares I had already given to him again.
Prayer before panic. I must admit to going straight to panic, when it would be so much easier to go to prayer first and so much wiser as well.

My philosophy is ‘the only thing worry brings is wrinkles’.
With each chime on the hour brings a smile, God is here and I am with Him and I am his, which deletes a frown.
The hours pass so quickly yet I’m not alone.
God is in tomorrow already and I only have the present.
My Dad died recently and his last words were ‘We are in God’s hands’.
I say peace comes when I work with God’s plan for me. He knows best.
