God is Working It Out!

There are a few things I am especially praying for lately.

Impacters Ministry are putting on a Youth Adventure Camp where we are trying to reach youth so that they have an encounter with the Living God. Maybe for the first time but also as an ongoing relationship.

There are also the Holy Week Liturgies where (myself included) I pray that we all have a more deepening experience of the love of our Lord for us.

There are also my continual prayers that I am used by the Lord to somehow proclaim Jesus to people that I meet and work with.

I also pray that I develop more as a Christian, truly following the path God has for me.

There is a Pastor called Fr John Woolley who wrote a book called I am With You in 1984 and he writes divine inspirations for each day of the year as if in first person. Meaning as if God was speaking to the reader personally.

One of them just a few days ago has inspired me to lean in on God more to work in people’s hearts, to work in my Heart.

Based on Mark 9:23

Jesus said to him, ‘If you are able!—All things can be done for the one who believes.’

Mark 9:23 NRSV

If you believe, anything is possible.

“There are many things which you could desire for others, although your knowledge is imperfect about what is best for them, especially in the long-term.

That for which you can always ask, with absolute confidence, is MY first desire also, that desire is for someone to begin to experience my love.

Whatever the need as you see it, ask, above all, for that dawning of My Love in a person’s heart. Sure that this is My will, have growing confidence in the effectiveness of your prayer. You need not look for results here but be content to thank Me that I am at work.

My child, you do not need convincing that a knowledge of My unchanging love wonderfully meets the various human needs – indeed, able to prevent many of those needs from arising!

Always be deeply grateful that you are my partner in bringing in my Kingdom of Light. I am constantly working – in, through and around you, so be quieted in spirit.”

Sadly, due to life’s circumstances, the world’s circumstances (just look at the daily news) – we focus on the negative, difficult, or even devasting  things in life. We can get anxious and fearful about these things.

We need to be aware of what is going on in the world so we can counter influence it with Godly reason and thoughts  and prayers but we should not get overly anxious.

God IS in Control. God will come to our rescue.

I love how wonderful Our God is that no matter how weak our prayers are or how they may seem to be ineffective, that God is working it out.

Naomie Raine sings a beautiful uplifting worship song called God will Work it Out. If you get an opportunity, go listen to the words but more importantly believe that it is true. God IS Working IT Out!

May these jottings from my journal inspire you to believe in and fall in love with Christ- the hope of the world, as stated in Jeremiah 17:7, ‘Blessed is the man who believes and trusts in and relies on the Lord and whose hope and confident expectation is the Lord!’

Every week groups of ladies meet together to chat about the things I raise in my weekly blog post and to chat about life in general. We call these ‘Heart Connect’ groups.

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

What is on your prayer list? Do you have continual prayers that you pray every day?

How often do you allow God to be in control? Or do you find this difficult

What is one way that you could allow God to be in more control for one area of your life?

Thank you Rosemary. There is sooo much I need to trust God with. I am fortunate to know God is there. I am fortunate to have you and Bruce to remind me that He has my back. Sometimes I’m weak, ans I cry. However days like today I hear your message to give me hope again.
    Thank you.

Your words today Dear Rosemary, are affirming for me. I have been praying most especially for my son this Lent. Of course I would like his disability healed but I pray most of all that he will turn back to Jesus, and as in your quoted verse, experience Jesus’ Love in his heart and be reconciled with God.

Wishing you and your family a very Holy and happy Easter.

One of my prayers which is a daily prayer is one which Carlos Actuis prayed. I was so touched by his devotion to our lady and the Eucharist. In this prayer, he surrenders every day to Jesus, he offers all his thoughts, words and works, he consecrated his family and friends and others to Jesus. There is more. It is a beautiful prayer. And he was so young when he met our Lady and conversed with her. I have other prayers as well. One of ST Fausitimas prayers for sinners. And several others which are daily prayers

I am really not sure of the control, I think God is in control.
There is so much control. It is hard to know whether it is from God or not, I certainly hope that he is in control of my life.

Thank you, Rosemary. Your words have come at a perfect time for me as I struggle with a particular relationship. When I think of the situation, I’m reminded to say “God, you take care of it!”

Now, with your words and the lovely worship song you pointed us to, I can also say “God will work it out.”

And one day I will say with much praise “God worked it out”. I only need to ask Him, surrender to Him and trust in Him.

Many blessings to you, Bruce, all the family and the Catholic Guy team.
